Directory of Chapters & Advisors
In conjunction with the LMSA National leadership team, the LMSA FPAC has curated an updated list of recognized LMSA Local Chapters and their advisors. This directory can be accessed here. If you and/or your institution are not listed on this directory, of if you would like to update or add new information to the directory, please click here.
Strategic Plan Updates for LMSA Local Chapters (2020-21)
To understand and better support the activities of our chapters, LMSA asks all Chapter Advisors to work with their chapter’s student leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate a strategic plan each year. The importance of this exercise cannot be overstated.
Chapters that have successfully submitted updates have been connected with other chapters and advisors that are working on similar programming. The network of support that ensues has been instrumental in helping chapters develop robust and sustainable initiatives, and in garnering increased recognition of advisors’ work from their respective institutions and from LMSA. Moreover, as LMSA gains increased knowledge of the efforts its chapters are pursuing, the organization can better align funding and infrastructure to bolster those efforts.
Please submit your chapter’s updates here for the period of May 2020 to March 2021 by no later than March 10, 2021. Results will be compiled and analyzed for discussion at the LMSA National Conference. An example strategic plan can be found here. A blank paper version is also available for your convenience.

Lastly, to further the advancement of our advisors, we invite students, faculty, and other colleagues to submit evaluations for a particular advisor. Members of the LMSA National FPAC receive these evaluations and prepare a summary letter for each advisor, thereby documenting our advisors’ great work and service to LMSA and creating professional capital on their behalf.
